Daniel & Amy Tinney, Owners
We have been married for 20 years, have 4 amazing children and 1 perfect grandchild! Daniel started the beginning of our marriage as a painter. He worked for his fathers company, Tinney's Painting. As life went on Daniel changed careers and ended up working as a garbage man. He loved driving the garbage trucks and striking up friendships with customers but yearned for something more. The opportunity arose for Daniel to take over for his father at Tinney's Painting and so he did! Well, we did! We hope to expand Tinney's Painting into a larger company that will provide jobs to our community and financial security to our family.
Daniel, Operations Director
Daniel is the man on the field getting the hard work done. He spent most of his youth painting with his father and even though Daniel switched careers in his mid-twenties, he continued to paint all of our living spaces. There is nothing quite like a fresh coat of paint. Painting has been a family tradition for the last 3 generations of Tinneys. Now that Grandpa Tinney has moved on to painting in the sky, we still have fathers, sons, brothers, and uncles carrying on the Tinney's Painting tradition.
Amy, Administrative Director
Amy has always had a knack for computers and paperwork. She loves office supplies and any reason to use them. When Daniel told her he wanted to switch gears and take over for his father she supported him completely. She researched how to build a business and put things into action. Currently, she handles all of the details at home from billing, to taxes, to making sure the proper licenses and insurance are in place.
As official sponsors of the 2020 Seattle Walk for Apraxia, we walk to support all children diagnosed with apraxia of speech. To show these children they are not alone and to acknowledge all the hard work they must do to overcome communication challenges that affect their day-to-day lives.
We walk to raise funds for the mission of Apraxia Kids – to strengthen the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.
We believe, “Every child deserves a voice”...
